TB Alert

A student at North Point High School in Waldorf has been diagnosised with tuberculosis(TB) disease and is under medical care. The Charles County Department of Health has initiated an investiigation to ensure ther is no further risk in the school, and is working with the schol system to identify those persons who should receive TB testing. Classmates and teachers who had prolonged exposure to the student with TB will receive an exposure letter and a TB testing consent form early next week. The health department will test those people at North Point on Tuesday, May 15. To read a TB fact sheet or the letters sent home to parents, visit the Charles County Board of Education website.
